The mysteries of Rennes
Part 2 The heart of Christ.

Please, notice how important the details expressed in the construction of the pictures appear to be. What can be stated after analyzing the figures of the two women? First of all, they indicate the state of pregnancy that is ascribed to both women that are depicted. However, from the general picture we cannot state in a more precise way what authentic figures are depicted by these sculptures. a

There is a clue in Rennes le Chateau that reveals the way of reading the information that is hidden in the construction of the images of the sculptures and paintings. How precious a clue it is we convinced ourselves on the first day of looking at the monuments of Rennes. The priest B. Sauniere put this clue in such a place that the accessibility to it is made maximally difficult. He considered the second floor of his villa and the size of the sculpture of Jesus Christ that was not very big as  the place that was safe enough to hide a very important clue.

The Villa Bethania with the visible figure of Christ high on it.

The sculpture itself is a figure of medium size located at the height of the second floor. Practically an occasional tourist has no access to this sculpture, in order to see how it looks like one should climb the ladder that is long enough. We used a simple method, we enlarged the photo in such a way that finally it was possible to distinguish each detail.

An enlarged photo of a figure that shows the figure of Christ with the heart on his chest.

On the whole, this image of Christ seems to be the one that is most often exposed. In this case, the same way of exposition could be accepted  if it weren’t for one small but significant change in the image of the heart of Christ.

The image of the heart of Christ.

The heart which here symbolizes the face, this was the image that we saw after we had enlarged the photo in the computer. At first we were surprised, this is how we can define the state we were in at the moment when we saw the enlargement of the photo. However, such a picture of the heart was made on this figure of Christ for some reason.
At first sight the meaning of this image brings to mind the appearance of a face of a man. These eyes that are excessively exposed and the lack of visible mouth, these are the main features of the image of the heart that we have in front of our eyes. The features of the eyes that are wide open and the mouth that is completely closed exposed in such an unequivocal way have the meaning that is too expressive to ignore it and to waive it aside. Apart from this meaning of the heart that is so expressive or rather in connection with it, one should analyse carefully the whole meaning of the image of the sculpture of Christ.

From among many specific features of this image first and foremost one should explain      the issue why on a sculpture that is situated so high that small details are not visible from below there is such a meaningful image of a heart?
Without doubt, this image was made in a specific purpose and it has to pass information which results from it. However, for a man that is looking at this sculpture from the place in front of the villa it is completely hidden. Here, the intention of the priest B. Sauniere must have been motivated  by a specific need. One thing is certain, the meaning of this image was not intended for everybody who will look at the sculpture of Christ form below.

A different issue is the character itself of the meaning of a specific appearance of the heart that in some way is reinforced by the place of the location of the sculpture. The sculpture that is standing so high has a wider horizon of “seeing” than if it was situated down. What is important here is the matter of “seeing” as such a message carries the image of the heart , however this does not mean that one should look from the same point in which the figure of Christ is standing. Rather, it is recommended here that one should pay attention to many different signs that can be found in  considerable surroundings of this place.

Generally the existing signs are less or more visible and in the course of some time all of them or most of them will be uncovered. However this image requires that one should look carefully, the eyes that are wide open speak about it. Here is indicated one more significant piece of information that refers to the search for the signs. Namely the mouth that is closely covered while the eyes are wide open passes an additional piece of information. It says: do not look for words or inscriptions, look for forms, shapes, drawings in other words look for the information contained in the pictures and in the signs.

A different issue of this image completes the indication additionally depicting the subject of the search. The heart is closely connected with blood, then the blood may be a symbol of  an ancestral line, here the heart of Christ may indicate the matters connected with the house of Christ.

In conclusion to the whole of the meaning of the picture contained in this sculpture one may assume that there are pieces of information in Rennes le Chateau that are hidden in different pictures and signs that  will testify to the house of Christ. However in order to find them  one should be very observant as they are neither presented in a way that is visible for everybody (the wide open eyes say that the pictures in their meaning will be relative and that they will not show in an unequivocal way) nor are they presented in a simple meaning (the covered mouth says that there will be in these pieces of information no simple connection of meaning). These pieces of information will be rather presented in an allegorical way and in relation to the values connected with the broadly defined matter of Christ, the house of Christ and the religion of Christ.
The forms of the record of the information that are indicated here in the form of pictures and signs that are simply invisible must be placed on the things that are visible and connected with the subject of the whole message. These hidden signs must be a part of bigger images and pictures, a part of sculptures and even of the buildings. They must be located here, around the Villa Bethania, in the whole area of the activity of the priest B. Sauniere, as well as of the authors of the sculptures and paintings.
